The Fortuna Palms Community Club is a non-profit social club. We encourage volunteering and with
many opportunities each season and throughout the year, all members are encouraged to participate.
The Club strives to provide members a relaxing, safe and secure environment in which to socialize and enjoy the amenities of the Club. As with any organization, rules are necessary to ensure that the needs of members are met and that the business of the Club is conducted smoothly. The Board of Directors of the Club has determined that the following rules shall apply to all members:
Club members are required to sign in each time they come to the Club using the login sheet inside the front gate or the login sheet inside Murphy Hall. Date, time, first and last name, key card number, number of members, number of guests and their names, and purpose of the visit. This will allow the Board of Directors to track usage of Club facilities.
Members are welcome to bring guests following these guidelines: You may bring a neighbor or friend as a guest no more than three times in one year. Your guest may then apply for membership to the Club. When your guest is your out-of-town family or friends you may bring them on a short-term basis. You may not give your key card to anyone to use to access the Club. You must accompany your guests at all times.
Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests while they are on Club property and agree to hold harmless and indemnify the Club, its officers and directors from any claim or demand, including attorney’s fees arising out of member’s or guest’s breach of this agreement.
Shoes and proper attire (no bathing suits without a suitable cover up) may be worn in the Club buildings. Wet bathing suits are not allowed under any circumstances. If you use either bathroom while in a wet bathing suit please mop any standing water for the safety of other members.
A weekly activity summary and a monthly calendar are distributed to all members via email and posted on the Club Facebook page. Printed copies of the calendar are also available at the Club.
Club members may rent either building for private parties. Use of the pool is not included in the rental. The pool cannot be rented. The Club form Rules for Rental of FPCC Owned Buildings specifies the procedure to be followed when renting one of the Club’s buildings. General and Board Meetings are held the first Thursday of every month November through March and all members are welcome and encouraged to attend. The Board of Directors consists of a president, one to two vice presidents, treasurer, secretary, membership chair and board members totaling no more than 15. The Board of Directors roster with phone numbers and email addresses is posted above the login book inside the gate.
