Fortuna Palms Community Club is an all-volunteer organization. Everything you see and everything you do, everything that happens at the Club is because of our volunteers!
FPCC is led by a Board of Directors, board members who are elected to a two-year term by the membership each December. Officers are appointed by the Board.
I've been retired since 2016 from a career in Healthcare IT. My husband Larry and I spent the next three years living in our 43-foot 5th wheel trailer. We settled in the Foothills in 2018.
I have served on the board since 2024, first serving as Communications Chair. I was appointed as President in 2025. I love the Club and everything it offers.
I have lived in Yuma on and off since 1999 with my husband Tim who was born and raised here!!
As a retired Superintendent and Professor and my other side jobs I love being a part of this wonderful community.
I retired in 2020 to Yuma with my wonderful wife Sunny. Hobbies include the following:

I enjoy and the friends and members of FPCC.
I retired in 2020 with my husband Charlie Eastburn. We moved to Yuma to be close to my parents who are winter residents. I joined FPCC initially to enjoy the pool. I have loved getting to know so many wonderful people and making some very close friendships.
When I joined the Club, I had no idea how it would become a place to be active, get involved, meet friends and become a part of a community.
My husband and I love outdoor activities, family time, gardening and adventure. I enjoy line dancing, volunteering, entertaining, scrapbooking and treasure hunting...
Since 2022, we are full- time Yuma residents but have another home in Prescott to escape the heat and getaway.
I’ve been coming to Yuma on and off for 30 years. I retired from the La Mesa Springs Valley school district in 2010. My husband Dave and I bought in Yuma in 2016. We love Yuma! I am fortunate to find the club and joined. We enjoy fishing, traveling, and camping.
My wife Darla and I have made the Foothills our winter home since 2021. I have served on the board since 2021 and served as Club Secretary from 2022 to 2025. I retired from careers in Farm Equipment, Motor Sports, GM Dealerships. We enjoy traveling, family, dancing, helping others and appreciate the many friends we have met through the club.
I am a retired pipefitter/HVAC technician-I have been a board member for eight years, I enjoy four wheeling in my side by side, Jeep and Samuari.
I was raised in Montana and have three grown children and 11 grandchildren and two great grandsons. My husband and I retired and started coming to Yuma foothills in 2017 as snowbirds! In 2021 we bought our place in the foothills. I like to make quilts and scrapbook. I joined the board in 2025. I am currently co-head for the activities. If there’s any activities you would like to see just send an email to Fortuna Palms Community Club and we will get it.
I moved to Yuma from Kitsap County, WA in 2022. Prior to retiring, I served as a Certified Emergency Manager for a healthcare system and Homeland Security Instructor with Louisiana State University’s National Center for Biomedical Research and Training. My immediate family includes a son and daughter, beautiful daughter-in-law, and one grandson, named for my husband, Earl.
After finding my Yuma home, I searched for a pool and found an entire community by joining Fortuna Palms Community Club. I currently spend time in my glass studio, in church, yoga and swimming at the club, and volunteering. My current passions include talking with FPCC members to determine where they want to contribute to our club, feeding seniors healthy produce, and assisting women who find themselves in domestic violence situations.
Staying cool in Yuma Arizona. Let's go swimming!
I first visited Yuma in 2004 and loved it. I became a permanent resident in 2012 and thanks to the recommendation of my neighbor heard about the Club!
I joined in December 2012 and volunteered in 2015 to become Membership Chair. It has been a great experience for me to meet people and I've made some wonderful friends. My background is in printing and graphics, working for newspapers in Illinois and Washington.
My name is Arbra and my husband Chuck and I have been living in Yuma 6 years. I have been on the board for 5 of those years. I enjoy arts and crafts especially painting rocks. FPCC is a real blessing in our neighborhood and community, and helps keep our retirees physically active and connected to others. I enjoy the pool and attend yoga when physically able to do so. I also make the pancakes once a month for our community breakfasts. I look forward to serving others and hope members take advantage of what our club has to offer.
I've been coming to Yuma off and on since 2005 as a traveling nurse. My husband of 50+ years and I spent time here but always had a home in Iowa. We've been so pleased with the Foothills that we've decided to become full timers. What a great community and so happy I can give a little back.
God Bless America!
